In 1956, Rogier Vandeweghe leaves Perignem to set up his own workshop. Several of the workers follow him, leaving Perignem in a difficult position. In exchange for a helping hand, a number of students of the Plastic Education department of the High School of Ghent is allowed to experiment in the workshop. Among them were Johan Isselée, Oswald Kuijken and Leon Goossens. The illustrations show some of their results, exhibited at the Bouw- en Kunst keramiek exhibition -alongside with works by Camille D'Havé and Marcel Catry- in Bruges (B) in September 1958.
